Deep Fried Chicken
– Tori no Karaage(鶏のから揚げ)

You can also make this substitute chicken breast for chicken thigh!
INGREDIENTS(Serving: 2)
Vegetable oil or choice, for frying the chickens
1 lb boneless chicken thighs
– For Chicken Breading –
2 tsp ground ginger
2 tsp ground garlic
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp cooking sake
– For coating-
3 tbsp all-purpose flour
3 tbsp potato starch
DIRECTIONS
1. Cut the chicken into 2 inch chunks. In a bowl, combine the ground ginger, garlic, soy sauce, salt and cooking sake until thoroughly mixed, then leave for 30min in fridge.
2. Preheat your oil in a thick-deep pan on the stove, to 325 degrees F.
3. Set up a dredging station. Add the flour and potato starch in a bowl and combine. Set the chicken coated well.
4. Place the chickens in the oil and fry for 3 minutes. Transfer the chicken to ta rack; let cool for 3 minutes.
5. Making sure the oil comes up to 360 degrees F, repeat the frying steps with the fried chicken for 1 minutes. Remove the chicken from the oil and let it drain.
